DifferentiationThe key to differentiation with the Needs and Nations framework is to create multiple roles that each student can undertake. For example, each group might need a scribe to record their conversation, a speaker to present ideas, and a researcher to see what ideas have worked for real-world nations in the past. By focusing on dividing the groups by role and ensuring that students are free to select their own role, each member can contribute and engage with the material without having to direct the group individually. By dividing the groups by role, students can also gain an appreciation for the different jobs that are required in each aspect of government. Consider assigning the roles of each group a job title and further specifying their role (e.g. Minister of Agriculture, Naval Defense Officer, etc.)
